Formulated with oils and emulsifiers, water-soluble oils combine the lubricity of cutting oils with the cooling ability and economy of water dilution. In addition to yielding finer finishes, water-soluble oils are also compatible with virtually all types of machinery and metals. They prevent rusting by providing a thin layer of oil film, and prevent rancidity and extend sump life through the use of biocides.

Ultracut 255R is a biostable, extreme pressure water soluble oil for heavy-duty machining, grinding, and sawing of all metals - including hard-to-machine alloys. Its exceptional biostability provides long-term sump life when properly maintained, and the addition of chlorinated and non-chlorinated EP additives provides extended tool life. Designed to give long and predictable sump life in the milling, drilling, and broaching of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, Ultracut 255R contains a high percentage of refined mineral oil which affords a high degree of residual corrosion protection and lubricity while machining. Ultracut 255R provides stable pH performance, and resists bacteria and fungal growth, rancidity, and unpleasant odors. |
